I Buckie er jeg født: Buckie-born

Between 1942 and 1946, there were over forty births to Norwegian or Danish parents in Banffshire.  The vast majority of these in Buckie itself (with eight in Banff). Some were the children of Norwegian couples and others were the children of Norwegians or Danes who had married Scottish women.

Many of those listed here had other children either born before or after the war.  The list is solely those between 1942 and 1946.  The details list only surname and initials in order to comply with General Data Protection Regulations.

Ekteskap: marriages

There were fifteen marriages in the Parish of Rathven (in which Buckie is located) during the years 1940 and 1946 between Danes or Norwegian and Scottish women.  There were more in the years after the war and a significant number of the marriages took place outside the town such as those (in Aberdeen) between the Swede, Frank Corneliusson and Naomi Ritchie or the Dane Johannes Larsen and Catherine Thomson.
